I know I was a Twitter naysayer in the past, but this week I’ve changed my tune. First, I downloaded Chirpr onto my toolbar, so I can watch everyone’s tweets come in and jump in when I have something to say (no comment, Oenophilus). Working at home, alone, in front of a computer and in the kitchen all day one can start to feel a bit isolated. And while I LOVE visiting everyone’s blogs, there’s just not enough time to stop by everyone’s every day. With Twitter, I can stay connected with the crew (let me know you’re out there so I can add you too!) in real time. Which is so cool.
And now we can all taste wine together too. Check out TwitterTasteLive, where tonight (8PM EST/5PST) everyone will be gathering at 1WineDude to talk about Drinking Charitably.
I’m off to get some pictures taken by our friend Andy Katz in Alexander Valley. More on that next week . . . In the meantime, hope to see you on Twitter tonight!

I’m still a “Twitter Naysayer” . . . . but who knows?

Just signed up w/ Twitter today. I can see the addiction growing already. Question… I tried to download the chirpr thing from your link and got all kinds of error messages. Any tips?
Steph . . . I’m holding out hope for you yet!
RecipeGirl . . . Are you on Mac? If you are, Twitteriffic might work better for you (http://iconfactory.com/software/twitterrific). I just tried the chripr again and it worked fine for me . . . you could try to post a blog entry with what’s going wrong and see if one of the techie smart people can help you out. Hope that helps! See you on Twitter!
