Reservations About No Reservations?

I’m so curious, has anyone seen this movie yet? I had no idea what it was Noreservationsabout given the name—other than it obviously takes place in a restaurant kitchen by the photo—but then I found out it was a remake of Mostly Martha (which I LOVED!). Having just finished writing a novel set in the culinary world, I’m intrigued by how food is the topic of two mainstream movies this summer (Ratatouille and this one).

Any opinions?

Cheers,
Lia

    Hi Lia,

Maybe good food and the importance of it is getting a bigger role in American life, hence the emphasis on food movies? Whatever the reason is, I like it! Being from France originally, I like cooking, eating and wine so thanks for the great blog, recipes and wine articles, I am learning a lot!

  • Thanks so much Isabelle . . . it’s good to have you here! I just read “La Vie des Bebes” to my little bebe (a gift sent from our friend Anne-Liesse in Lyon) and it felt so good to make my mouth form French words again . . . if only “Medhi joue” ;-). Your native country played such a huge role in shaping my life, I’m happy to be giving back some of the joy.
